Directing a project really involves being involved at every point creatively, from pre-production through to principal photography and post. We’ve brought a number of short films to fruition as individual and co-directors. Helming a project takes vision, flexibility and resilience, and we’ve got all of that in good measure.
As classically trained screenwriters, we’ve been writing a number of short films, have pitched to various broadcasters and more recently been nominated for our writing work in the WGSA Muse Awards. We’re also working to get our Dramedy series off the ground.
As much as directing is being involved creatively, producing requires involvement from a logistical perspective; getting the funding for projects and making sure that locations are sorted and cast and crew are happy. Indie filmmakers have to wear many hats, and that’s exactly what we do.
Talking about wearing many hats, we’ve also edited all of our shorts films to date, and have editing experience in commercial and event-based projects as well. A film really is “made again” in the editing room and we enjoy the countless hours and cups of coffee that form art of this process.
